Dalai Lama to hold peace rally

World peace may sometimes seem like too great of a problem for individuals to tackle on their own. However, when a person acts as part of a unified group of like-minded individuals who are all pushing for change, great things can be accomplished.

This is part of the idea behind an effort currently being led by the Dalai Lama. USA Today reports that the exiled religious leader will hold a Kalachakra for World Peace on July 9 at the U.S. Capitol.

The event is open to the public and whoever wants to attend will be welcomed. His Holiness will give a speech at the gathering on the importance of making peace a larger part of one’s life.

This is intended to confer on attendees the knowledge and confidence that is necessary to go out into the world and pursue peace with vigor and surety.

The day’s proceedings are exactly what author and philosopher Ilchi Lee says are necessary to unite individuals from various racial, religious and national backgrounds and help them learn to respect each other in a peaceful manner.
