According to Education News, a record number of students graduated from Oregon State University (OSU) because of the school's online learning programs. The school's Ecampus will graduate nearly twice as many students this year as it did in 2010, indicating that more students are turning to a virtual program that can meet their needs.
"Ecampus is proud to play an integral role in providing access to an OSU education through our comprehensive online degree programs," Ecampus executive director Lisa Templeton told the news provider. "We prove year after year that we can meet the educational needs of adult learners no matter where they are, and the class of 2011 is a testament to our success."
It appears as though this form of learning is continuing to grow. According to the most recent report from the Sloan Consortium, the amount of online students grew by 17 percent from the previous year.
