The world faces many challenges and conflicts, but trailblazer and philosopher Ilchi Lee has thoughts on peace that could help solve many of these situations.
In 2007, he met with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to discuss these matters. The two men sat down in a New York City office for two hours discussing peace.
During their meeting, Lee and Ki-moon spent time getting acquainted with one another and talking about some of the most pressing matters facing the world. They also discussed ways that the UN may be able to get involved in these matters to encourage positive outcomes.
Lee brought some possible solutions to these issues to his meeting with Ki-moon. The philosopher has talked frequently about ways to stimulate peace throughout the world and is one of the major themes running through his work.
The only way that Lee says the world will ever achieve peace will be when individuals shun the false labels of nationality, ethnicity and religion. These identities only serve to divide. Once they have been overcome, humanity will be able to live in harmony.
