For example, a 77-year-old man from Colorado recently decided to join the Peace Corps to promote the cause of peace around the world, according to the local NBC affiliate 9News.
She will be leaving for Romania in a couple weeks and will soon begin teaching English classes to children in the country. She told the news source that it became important to her to pursue this type of goal after retirement.
"One of the things I'm hoping this experience does is help me excite other people to go to the Peace Corps or to work for Volunteers of America, to do anything that will still make them feel useful. To just wrap up life at 65 is just… I think it's sad," she told the news source.
